I am a native Rochesterian who played the flute in the Monroe High School Band. I started taking flute lessons in the 4th grade at #35 school in my earlier life and continued until I graduated from Monroe. By the time I was 18 I had been playing the flute for half of my life. When I found New Horizons, or should I say they found me, I had not played the flute in 53 years. New Horizons is like my old high school band, but everyone is 50 years older, except me of course. Funny though, the flute came back after a little effort and I'm really enjoying being in band again. |
